Our client, North America’s leading providers of frac sand, is looking for a Dredge Superintendent to help expand and manage their their wet mining operations. They currently operate two cutter suction dredges to mine unconsolidated sand which are coupled to the wash process consisting of a scalping operation, scrubbing and water separation. This opportunity is multifaceted, high impact and imperative to our client’s success and is a rare chance to create from the ground floor. 

Responsibilities

  • Drive the day to day management of personnel and work with Operations, Maintenance and Plant Management to make.

    data-driven decisions.
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise all elements of dredging operations across 2 sites, each with a capacity of 1500 tons per hour.
  • Plan, coordinate, and review schedules of dredge staffing.
  • Implement mine plan, monitor inventory levels and adjust production forecast and schedule downtime for maintenance.
  • Represent our client in meetings, interface with subcontracting companies and internal stakeholders.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive experience operating and maintaining marine dredging equipment.
  • Solid experience managing fixed and mobile equipment maintenance crews.
  • Experience operating and maintaining heavy equipment.
  • Abie to read, understand and redline drawings and schematics.
  • Experience overseeing engineering designs and managing 3rd party engineering firms.
  • Experience developing and tracking budgets.
  • Experience in equipment reliability and condition monitoring.
  • Strong technical and leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Able to live and work in the USA.
